New Feature: Enhanced Stability for Admin Login

We are pleased to announce a major update to RakuChat LINE Translator!

In version v1.0.3, we focused on improving the reliability of the Admin Console login system, ensuring a more dependable and predictable experience for everyone operating the service. This update strengthens the foundation that supports daily RakuChat operations.

Overview of New Improvements

Improved Stability for Admin Login

Some users previously experienced unexpected logouts or were forced to log in again after reopening the browser. To resolve these issues, we redesigned the session management system from the ground up.

  • Unified token storage to align with browser storage specifications
  • Sessions now remain active for the intended maximum of 30 days
  • Adjusted unnecessary Strict Mode behavior in production to avoid unintended re-renders

These changes result in a smoother and more consistent login experience, especially for users who rely on the Admin Console every day.

Enhanced Error Messages and Multi-language Support

Error messages shown during login have also received a thoughtful upgrade.

  • Previously exposed raw codes like "errorAlreadyProcessed" are now replaced with natural, user-friendly text
  • Detailed explanations are now provided for common scenarios such as expired links or reused login URLs
  • All error messages now support all 16 languages through a revised translation and type definition structure

The result is a shift from “I don’t know what happened” to “I know what to do next.”

More Robust LINE Login Integration

The Admin Console is integrated with LINE Login, and this backend communication has quietly become stronger.

  • Added automatic retries (up to 3 attempts with exponential backoff) for LINE OAuth2 requests
  • Improved resilience to temporary network issues or server instability
  • Security-related responses such as 403 are handled carefully without unnecessary retries

With this, temporary login failures are reduced, minimizing the “it suddenly worked after a few minutes” type of confusion.

Smoother Login Flow (Optional)

When accessing the Admin Console while not logged in, the system can now automatically redirect to the LINE Login screen without requiring an extra manual step.

  • Automatically transitions to LINE Login when appropriate
  • Fewer steps to reach the dashboard, while keeping existing branding and UI elements
  • Clearer flow for users accessing via bookmarks or rich menus

A small but meaningful improvement that reduces friction in daily operations.

Built on User Feedback

This update was guided by real feedback such as:

  • “Login sessions expire too quickly.”
  • “Error messages don’t explain what happened.”
  • “Behavior becomes unstable during development.”

We began with investigation reports and implementation plans, taking a structured approach—research → design → phased implementation—while staying mindful that the console is a tool people rely on every day.
